Taking a Break & Some Photos

Hello,

I am still working on multiple editing projects—and thankfully seeing some progress. But I think this is a good time for me to take a short break, just for this issue, or rather non-issue.

So, until next weekend I leave you with a few photographs from my past and more-or-less present, here in the cultivated wilds of central California . . .

I was sitting on a bench by the side of the street and a cat named Shadow jumped up next to me and attempted to put me into a trance. And succeeded. Don’t look too long at this photo.

Fire season in central California (a couple years ago).

The Old Monterey Book Co. bookstore has been closed for ages, it seems, yet its lights are on at night, with a tantalizing view of books waiting for a home. Sigh.

Winter is coming.
