Yes, I did -- although I went through a rebellious phase as a kid, where I really hated practice. Nevertheless, I continued piano lessons into my early teens, did piano recitals, even had a very brief stint teaching piano myself, etc. I can still read music pretty well, though with age and now lack of practice, my fingers are getting stiff.
I always loved to practice, but I think that was unusual. Most of the kids I've taught over the years hate it! But cool that you got to the point where you were teaching piano and can still read music. Do you have a piano in your place? I inherited my mom's baby grand and it's a dream to play it!
I no longer have the original piano -- I donated it to a piano teacher, who is giving it a great home. But I do have a a Casio keyboard at home (smaller and easier to move).
