I just ordered a rubber stamp with OMG GOP WTF (1/2” x 1/2”) and a red stamp pad, for stamping dollar bills.

Easier and cheaper (in the long run) than mailing post cards, etc. The average bill circulates every 3 days, or around 100 times a year. And if others get inspired to do their own, multiplier effect.

It’s not illegal to deface currency, so long as it’s not done for advertising or with the intent to render the bill unfit to be reissued. Also, first amendment.

(I wish I’d thought of the OMG meme - it’s the exact polar opposite of wordiness. It unpacks in your mind and says it all without even saying what it’s saying. And it usually provokes a smile.)

I’d like to post an article about this somewhere - any suggestions?

(This was inspired by The Dollar Project, 1986-88:

OMG!

As for articles, maybe Voices of Monterey Bay? or Hyperallergic, or submit as experimental art to Utriculi? https://www.sandy-press.com/utriculi-submission-guidelines/ (deadline August 31; my art is on the cover of their last issue). Or make a tiny zine about it and distribute to tiny free libraries?
