It sounds like you have a treasure trove of letters from your family. I, too, have tried to piece together my father and his family's past. It's a tough job that I find requires help.

And sometimes it feels a little dangerous, like a spider is going to crawl and out and sting me with some unwelcome information. Although, I do feel ready for it, finally. I'm luck in that I have a partner who is helping me with the project. ;-)
